Cookies

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on a user’s computer. They are sent by a web server, for example, after visiting a website. They are most often used to facilitate and automate website operation. The content of cookies does not allow for user identification. Cookies usually contain the name of the website they originate from, their storage duration on the hard drive, and a unique number.

Use of cookies.
Cookies are used to save small pieces of user data, which enables automatic login, remembering shopping cart contents in an online store, or preferences for appearance, layout, and language of the website. Sometimes they are part of visit counters, surveys, and anonymous statistics to check if a user from a particular computer has already been counted by the counter or has voted in a poll.
