Prestigious cycling race Tour de Pologne UCI World kicks off from Wrocław!
On August 12th, cyclists – including Jonas Vingegaard and Rafał Majka – will set off from Centennial Hall and ride through the picturesque Lower Silesian routes toward Karpacz, where the winner of the first stage of the 81st edition of Tour de Pologne will be revealed. The stage covers nearly 160 km.
On Sunday, August 11th at 6:30 PM, a ceremonial rider presentation will take place on the square by the Iglica.
“Fans will be able to see the riders, get autographs, and view the entire race caravan. It’s the best time to get close to cycling stars, because the next day they’ll be fully focused on the competition,” emphasizes Czesław Lang, race director.
That same day from 1:00 PM, a cycling picnic will be held on the Pergola and around Centennial Hall, featuring a variety of attractions for visitors.
The Sunday full of cycling excitement will conclude at 9:40 PM with an additional multimedia fountain show titled *The Four Elements*. Before the show, a symbolic tribute will be held in memory of Daniel Chojnacki – Wrocław’s first and long-time cycling officer, who served from 2007 to 2022.
On Monday, August 12th, just after 12:00 PM, the HONORARY START of the race will take place on the square by the Iglica. The peloton, consisting of riders from 24 teams, will pass along Aleja Wielkiej Wyspy, and then via Armii Krajowej Street, Ślężna, Wyścigowa, and Karkonoska towards Czekoladowa Street, where the so-called OFFICIAL START – the actual race – will begin.

During these events, we encourage everyone to use the underground parking at Centennial Hall – the closest parking to the Hall, the Iglica square, the Pergola, and the multimedia fountain – ensuring maximum convenience for participants and fans.
