Tour de Pologne parking wioska kolarska

The 82nd Tour de Pologne kicked off in Wrocław.

Once again, Wrocław made its mark on the European cycling map – not as a backdrop, but as the starting point of the story. On August 4th, from beneath the iconic Hala Stulecia, the most important cycling race in Poland – the 82nd Tour de Pologne – officially began. This time, it wasn’t just the monumental architecture or rich history drawing attention. Our parking lot transformed into a cycling village – a bustling hub where teams set up, riders prepared, and excitement steadily built.

When the cyclists hit the road – first on flat terrain with a finish in Legnica – we stayed behind, but our hearts rode with them. We’re cheering them on wholeheartedly – as a team that was right there on the front line, witnessing it all up close.

In Lower Silesia, things happen fast. Three LOTTO Intermediate Sprints – in Kąty Wrocławskie, Środa Śląska, and Polkowice – came one after another. In Prochowice, we saw the first leader in the King of the Mountains classification.

And then – the mountains. The second stage was a different story altogether. Starting near the Gołębiewski Hotel in Karpacz, the route featured climbs up Kowarska Pass and Średnica Pass. Emotions ran high: a LOTTO Intermediate Sprint in Czarny Bór, a Decathlon Special Sprint in Chełmsko Śląskie, and a final uphill battle on Orlinek in Karpacz. 150 kilometers of tough racing. Last year, the Belgians triumphed. Who will it be this time? We’ll find out soon.

Stage three – Wałbrzych. A demanding route, full of climbs, passes, curves, and shifting rhythm. Walim, Niedźwiedzica, Rzeczka, Jedlina-Zdrój. Lower Silesian landscapes that don’t forgive mistakes but stay in your memory for a long time.

For us, this Tour de Pologne is already special. Because even though we weren’t racing in the peloton, our parking lot briefly became the heart of the race. And moments like that stay with you.
