The car park is situated next to the historic Centennial Hall complex which was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2006 as well as in the register of monuments. Information on Budimex Parking Wrocław

Budimex Parking Wrocław sp. z o. o. [limited liability company] is a special purpose entity which was established in January 2011 by Budimex SA. [joint stock company] The aim of establishing the company was to participate in concession proceedings run by Wrocławskie Przedsiębiorstwo Hala Ludowa Sp. z o. o.  on the basis of the notification on concession for construction works.

Company’s history:

The main task of Budimex Parking Wrocław during the term of the concession is investment management. The construction was financed by private resources and a long term bank loan.

The main shareholder of the company (51% of shares) is Budimex SA, which played two key roles during the project implementation:

Budimex SA is the parent company of the Budimex capital group. With consolidated revenues exceeding PLN 9.8 billion in 2023 and market capitalization at the end of 2023 at the level of PLN 16 billion, it forms the largest construction group in Poland.

The activities of Budimex SA are focused also on the Polish market and on foreign markets (Czech Republic, Slovakia, ‎Germany, Latvia)‎. As a general constructor, the company provides its services in  the following sectors of infrastructure:

Spanish company Ferrovial is a strategic investor in Budimex. The purchase of over 50% of shares by one of the largest construction companies in the world has confirmed and reinforced Budimex’s strong position on the market.

Budimex currently employs about 5 thousand people. It cooperats with 12 thousand contractors and carries out over 100 contracts per year.

 

Information on concession agreement

In 2010, the city of Wrocław initiated a project to create a modern car park infrastructure near the Centennial Hall.

The concession agreement covered the design, construction and management of the car park for a maximum of 30 years. After this period, all rights arising from the agreement will be transferred to the investor.

The unique character of the enterprise is a result of the fact that it was one of the first projects carried out in the public-private partnership formula in Poland.

In the initial stage of the project, Budimex began cooperating with Interparking Polska (former Poland Car Parking), which has over 15 years experience in car park management in Poland.

Interparking Polska is a part of Belgian Interparking group, which manages over 580 car parks all over Europe altogether.
